This tiny eatery is more or less exactly the kind of place I wanted Rome to have since I arrived in 2006. I even thought of doing it myself at one point! But then these guys came along and did it with a very cool twist : bagels. Sometimes it takes an Italian to bring out the best of New York.
Besides green juices – so rare in the Eternal City – there’s also that other rare species: fresh vegan soups, like broccoli; curried carrot; cauliflower and almond; and kale-potato. Vegan cookies and cakes are delicious, too. They feature a fresh salad bar along with the soups and bagels. Smoothies to order (my son likes the strawberry-banana-milk version).
